Nova had an immense love for the arts.
Provide opportunities for other children to experience the Arts at the Sautee Nacoochee Center.

The SNC youth scholarship fund is in memory of Nova Marie Adams who was involved in youth arts programs at the Sautee Nacoochee Center between 2013 and 2019.
Nova joined the Center family when she began performing on stage at the age of six. She was an integral part of our programs for the following six years. Nova was a shining star, a bright light to all who had the honor of knowing her or who had the opportunity to watch her perform. Her memory will live on through your donation and provide opportunities for other children to experience the Arts at the Sautee Nacoochee Center.
Since its inception in 1981, the Sautee Nacoochee Center has placed great importance on programs for the younger members of the community. Young imaginative spirits need to be nurtured in the notion that creativity is not a secondary part of a well-rounded life but an essential element at its very core. Classes and activities in the visual and performing arts, history and heritage, music and movement including dance and yoga, environmental concerns and more - for children and youth - are an integral part of the programs offered by SNC.
To this end, The Nova Marie Adams Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to children, through age 17, who want to participate in youth programs at SNC but whose families do not have the necessary financial resources.
Benefits of Youth Theatre *
SCHOOL PERFORMANCE. Research from UCLA’s Graduate School of Education by Dr. James Catterall shows that students who are exposed to the arts are more likely to be involved in community service, and are less likely to drop out of school.
CREATIVITY. Performing arts teach children how to think creatively through imagination.
CULTURE. Through theatre, children are immersed in stories about characters from every background imaginable. Live shows teach children how to appreciate people of all kinds and how to respect other points of view.
MORALS. Plays and musicals illustrate many different lessons. Theatre is a safe way to expose kids to difficult situations and show them firsthand how to handle these situations.
COMMUNICATION. Theatre exposes young people to new vocabulary and ways of communicating. Through the arts of dance, acting, and music, children learn how to communicate in a variety of unique ways.
IMAGINATION. Children need imagination to grow, create, think, and play. Theatre is the single most valuable place where kids can explore the endless possibilities of their imaginations and what they can do.
